AutoStore has unveiled a series of new and upgraded hardware and software products designed to reduce manual intervention in warehouse operations and move its automated storage systems closer to “lights-out” fulfillment.
Warehouse robotics provider Exotec has deployed its Skypod solution in First Supply’s warehouse in West Salem, Wisconsin. Following the deployment, First Supply can now offer next-morning delivery at scale for orders placed by 5pm, marking a major milestone for the business and the industry.
At the Agrophoenix fruit processing plant in Greece, eight Stäubli SCARA robots do the opposite of cherry-picking: They pick peaches and select not the good ones, but the bad ones. The robots are part of the AI- and vision-based STAQ inspection system developed by Dutch startup QING.
